Apple Pie
Ingredients:
- 4 apples
- 4 eggs
- 180 g sugar
- 200 g flour
- 250 g mascarpone
- 16 g baking powder
- 1 lemon
Preparation:
- Turn on the oven and set it to 180 ° for about 10 minutes
- Wash and peel the apples
- Cut the first two apples into cubes
4. Then cut the other two apples into slices
5. Put the sliced apples in a bowl and drizzle them with the lemon juice, mixing them well: this stop the apples from discolouring
6. In a large bowl, pour the eggs and beat them well with an electric whisk
7. Add the sugar and continue to beat
8. Continue adding the mascarpone and whisk until you have obtained a light and frothy dough
9. Then add the flour, little by little
10. Continue to assemble everything until a homogeneous mixture is obtained
11. Finally, add the yeast and mix well
12. Take the cubed apples and pour them into the dough
13. Stir gently from the bottom up so that everything gets mixed well using a spatula
14. Pour the dough into a cake tin of 22-24 cm in diameter
15. Drain the sliced apples in a colander to remove the lemon juice
16. Place the apples on the cake starting from the outside
17. Bake in a fan oven at 180 ° for about 45 minutes
18. At the end of the timer, remove from the oven and test if it's cooked by inserting a toothpick inside the cake
19. If the toothpick comes out dry, the cake is ready!
20. Once cold, sprinkle the cake with the icing sugar.
